The renowned NRA First Steps course is an excellent introduction to safely handling and shooting handguns, as well as a first class refresher course for intermediate and experienced shooters.

It covers safely handling firearms, ammunition characteristics, modern shooting techniques, and cleaning your gun. It includes approximately one hour of range time. Students who do not own handguns can use WPGC rental guns.

The NRA First Steps course satisfies the training requirement for the Colorado Concealed Handgun Permit.
